With over 14 years of extensive experience in information technology operations, Alan leads CBS Interactive’s strategic technology initiatives and is responsible for all Internet infrastructure, applications, and data center operations. Prior to joining CBS Interactive, Alan has held various leadership positions with companies including Oracle, Siebel, and McAfee.

Biren Gandhi, CTO - Zynga
Biren Gandhi is CTO of Network Products at Zynga responsible for exploring, creating and deploying cutting-edge technologies that serve as backbone for many social games produced by Zynga. He also serves as a technology strategist and advisor to some stealth mode startups in the SF Bay Area and abroad. Prior to Zynga, he has played key technical roles at enterprise, consumer web and social networking companies, including Facebook. Having a firm belief in collaborative leadership, he loves to clone himself and produce leaders of tomorrow by sharing the knowledge around. Biren is actively involved in social entrepreneurship and community outreach initiatives through a number of non-profit organizations in United States and India. He holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.

BJ Fesq, Senior Vice President, Technology Fellow | Global Markets Research Technology - Bank of America
BJ Fesq is one of six Technology Fellows at Bank of America. He leads enterprise strategy for the Grid Computing and Application Lifecycle Management domains. BJ also runs the Markets Innovation & Research program and a Shared Services team aligned to the Global Markets business. Prior roles include Chief Architect of Global Markets Technology, Senior Director of Structured Finance Technology at S&P, and development roles at JP Morgan Chase, CSFB and Chubb. BJ has been an active participant in industry standards bodies, from OASIS to the JCP. BJ earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Rochester, where he studied the application of Artificial Intelligence to the Robotics domain.

Charles Babcock, Editor - Information Week
Babcock is one of three editor-at-large writers at Information Week and has been with the magazine for six years. He is charged with reporting on database, Web services, cloud computing and open source code. He is the former New York correspondent, software editor and technical editor of Computerworld; former technology editor of Interactive Week and former editor-in-chief of Digital News. He is a graduate of Syracuse University with a BS degree in journalism.

Chris works with technology companies around the world, and has helped many of them in their efforts to drive their large-scale strategy, integration and infrastructure projects. His current focus is on next generation data centers and cloud computing, working with vendors and service providers to help them bring value to companies through new computing architectures and services models.

David Berlind is editor-in-chief of TechWeb.com and the Chief Content Officer for its parent company, TechWeb. Aside from these titles, David currently spends a good chunk of his time helping to define TechWeb’s strategy when it comes to new media, the integration of events and editorial, and the best ways to meaningfully engage the various social networks. David’s career in media started in 1991 when he joined Ziff-Davis’ PC Week to write technology reviews. After eventually becoming the Director of PC Week’s testing lab, he moved over to ZD’s Windows Sources Magazine as Editor-in-Chief and then to Computer Shopper as Editorial Director. In 1998, David joined ZDNet where he led the site’s family of business technology properties and eventually helped to lead CNET Networks’ push into new media such as blogging and podcasting.

Joseph Crawford is the executive director of the IT Solutions product portfolio for Verizon Business. Crawford has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility at Verizon Business and its predecessor companies, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the design, development and deployment of cost-effective, high performance operations management and IT solutions management. Before joining Rackspace, Moorman held several positions at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, advising a variety of high technology clients on critical strategic issues.

Prior to this role, Lior was the General Manager of Nokia's personal media sharing service, Ovi Share. Before this, Lior was the Director of Global Product Marketing for Nokia Enterprise Mobility Solutions, responsible for the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy.

Mitchell Kertzman, Managing Director - Hummer Winblad
Mitchell has over 30 years of experience as a CEO of public and private software companies. Most recently, he was Chairman and CEO of Liberate Technologies, a provider of platform software for the delivery of digital services by cable television companies. Previously he was chairman of the board and CEO of Sybase, Inc., and founder and CEO of Powersoft, which merged with Sybase in February 1995. In 1991, Hummer Winblad invested in the company, which became the leading provider of client-server development tools with its flagship product, PowerBuilder. The merger with Sybase in 1995 was, at the time, the most valuable in the history of the software industry.

Ping Li, Partner - Accel Partners
Ping is a partner at Accel focusing on IT infrastructure and digital media platforms. His areas of interest also include datacenter virtualization, cloud computing, and internet datacenter scalability. He currently is an investor/Board Member of BitTorrent, Cloudera, Imperva, Mu Dynamics, Raptr, Verivue and YuMe. Ping was responsible for Accel's investment in Reactivity (acquired by Cisco) and Mochi Media (acquired by Shanda). Prior to Accel, Ping was a director at Juniper Networks. He managed Juniper's flagship router product portfolio and worked on Juniper's acquisition of Netscreen Technologies. He also worked as a strategy consultant for McKinsey & Company, advising technology clients in their growth strategies.

Sam Diaz, Sr Editor - ZDNET
Sam Diaz is a veteran journalist who spent the last decade covering many facets of the tech industry from two power centers: Silicon Valley and Washington DC. He covered the industry as a reporter for the San Jose Mercury News, an editor/reporter/blogger for the Washington Post and now a senior editor for ZDNet, a CBS Interactive site. He started his career at The Fresno Bee and also worked briefly as the director of social media strategies for a San Francisco public relations firm. He holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism News-Editorial and English from California State University, Fresno.

Sergio Monsalve, Principle - Norwest Venture Partners
Sergio brings to NVP over 13 years of operational experience in marketing, product management, business development, sales and finance from a wide range of business and consumer technology companies. Sergio is focused on investments in the software, internet, and media sectors. Before joining NVP, Sergio was Vice President of Product Marketing at Photobucket, which was successfully sold to News Corp for $300 Million; and Director and General Manager of the consumer electronics division at eBay. Prior to eBay, Sergio was the co-founder and led sales and marketing at Cymerc, which was a hosted software solution for small and medium enterprises. He grew Cymerc from inception to more than $15 million in revenue. Sergio was also an early employee and marketing manager at Portal Software (now part of Oracle). Portal Software created one of the leading enterprise billing software platforms and had a successful Initial Public Offering.

Sheila Gulati, General Manager, Application Platform and Developer Marketing Group - Microsoft
Sheila Gulati is responsible for driving all aspects of marketing for Microsoft’s application platform and developer technologies including SQL Server, Visual Studio, and BizTalk Server. Previously, Sheila was General Manager of Developer and Platform Evangelism in the US and held that same post at Microsoft India, focused on developing a strong software and services ecosystem for India. Prior to that, she was at the Microsoft Corporate headquarters in Redmond where she served as Worldwide Business Manager for the Server and Tools business. Sheila started at Microsoft over ten years ago as part of the Corporate Development team that managed Microsoft’s strategic equity portfolio.

Previously, Chancellor was CIO at salesforce.com and grew the company from approximately $400 million in annual revenue to over just under $1 Billion annual revenue.
