It was delicous, so I dugg it

Sector: social bookmarking and rating for video, audio and photos
Secret Sauce: Like del.icio.us, livelocker allows users to bookmark rich media they find interesting. Like digg, livelocker gives users the chance to submit media and vote for their favorite video, audio or photo. The highest-rated media gets posted to the front page. You can save everything you like in your locker. The actual content is stored elsewhere — yes, bandwidth is still insanely expensive for something like this but also, some legal concerns with viral videos (read: illegal re copyright). And yes, it has tagging and friendship possibilities.
Competitors: VideoBomb, YouTube, woomu, TagWorld
Headquarters: Los Angeles, CA
Management: CEO David McClusky, 26-year-old University of California ComSci graduate.
Seen and Heard: Lots of cries of “another digg rip-off” and “oh great, more viral videos since it’s so hard to find them already” — but really it’s too new to make any proclamations on this space. I mean, no one ever says, “what? another car model?!” Surely, for the time being the videos most popular on livelocker will be the types most enjoyed by males between the ages of 13 to 25, so a “mature” content tag has recently become necerssary. Also, good discussion from Mashable.
