6rounds has been around for over a year now, but they recently popped back up on our radar.
The Israeli company, founded in 2008, lets users share the experience of being online in a way that’s a whole lotta fun.

6Rounds is a “live meeting point” for people to interact online using webcams, real-time games, social activities, and media engagements. 6rounders use webcams to watch videos together, stream music, browse Facebook, or even play games like “Truth or Dare” with a virtual spinning bottle. What teenager doesn’t love this idea?! I mean, you get to share your screen with friends, and talk “face-to-face” through webcams while playing with tons of cool effects. I’m thinking those princesses locked away in their ivory towers are going to be just fine as long as they have 6rounds and a laptop.

Users initiate “rounds” either by inviting a specific person or by joining a room pertaining to an activity, game or topic. Once users join a specified round they are systematically matched with another user interested in the same type of activities. It’s similar to the company we profiled last week, “LikeOurselves” only instead of meeting new friends and contacts physically, you are meeting them through a webcam cyber-experience. But in general, I think people are here to interact with people they already know, more than meet new friends.

The Next Web says 6rounds is a “video chat service that offers more features and better integration than anything you’ve ever used. We promise.”
