About Rich: Rich Wolski is the Chief Technical Officer of Eucalyptus Systems
Inc. and a Professor in Computer Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Davis (while he held a full-time research position at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory). He is currently also a strategic adviser to the San Diego Supercomputer Center and an adjunct faculty member at the Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory. T he Eucalyptus project originated in his research group and he, and the authoring graduate students and potsdocs are founders of Eucalyptus Systems Inc.
