Dealmaker Media

Alrighty… Due to popular demand, we’re bringing sexy err, “Dealmaker of the Month” back. Partly because giving props is fun, and partly because Dealmaker Media is all about connecting the most influential people and successful minds in business and technology to get deals done.

MAY 2009′s DEALMAKER OF THE MONTH: PETER PHAM, CEO, BILLSHRINK

Why is Peter this month’s big hitter? His LA-based startup BillShrink is a media darling – thanks to a fury of recent coverage, topped off by a fabulous (and likely costly) marketing campaign launched by T-mobile.

This weekend when I hopped out of a taxi, I noticed “BillShrink.com” on a glowing T-Mobile lightbox ad on the roof of the taxicab… I later heard radio ads, then saw a television ad featuring non-other than T-mobile spokesperson Catherine Zeta-Jones urging people to consider a “mobile makeover” by heading to BillShrink.

Kudos Peter!

About Peter Pham:
Before BillShrink, Peter was previously vice president of business development at Photobucket.com, where he was the fifth employee and was responsible for driving user acquisition, strategic partnerships and corporate development. Photobucket was acquired in 2007 by Fox Interactive Media, a division of News Corporation.

When Peter left in 2008, Photobucket had grown to more than 61M users, making it the #1 photo sharing site and the 38th most visited site in the U.S.

Words of Wisdom from Peter: View Peter’s presentation at our last Startonomics event in LA where he talks about “Pitching and Packaging for Startups.” (ie: landing deals like giants such as T-mobile.)
